Bong Sang Pil (Lee Joon Gi), a former gangster turned lawyer, seeks revenge for his mother's tragic death by targeting powerful individuals who believe they are above the law. Using his street skills and lícito expertise, he builds an impressive winning record. Ha Jae Yi (Seo Yea Ji), a principled lawyer whose license was suspended after hitting a judge during an unjust trial, joins Sang Pil's team to pay off her father's debts.

Despite being the leader of a gang, he has a strong sense of honor and does not believe in murder. Even though he desires justice for his sister, he repeatedly warns Sang-pil that revenge is not the answer.[12] He cares deeply for his nephew and those close to him, and puts their safety above money, the gang, and his own life.

Tanya asks for Mickey's help to escape Soto, while Cardone suggests Maggie support him for DA. A comment from Hayley leads Mickey to realize that Jerry's bribe was to buy a juror. He confronts Trevor, who admits that Juror Number Seven is a plant, and that his company is funded by Russian mobsters; he insists that he had nothing to do with the deaths of Lara, Rilz, or Jerry, but Lara was going to divorce him, putting the Russians' money at risk. Mickey remembers his father's words: it is harder to live with losing a case when you know your client is innocent.

Jae-yi loses a case due to a judge with bias against women. She confronts him but is insulted and ends up assaulting him. She is suspended as a lawyer for six months and fired from her job, forcing her to return to Kisung. Sang-pil receives a book with details on the crimes of those in power Kisung. He informs Dae-woong that he will go back to Kisung because of Jae-yi and also to avenge his mother. In Kisung, Sang-pil learns a loan shark firm run by Keum Kang is located in the old office of his mother.

A former gangster turned lawyer who takes advantage of loopholes in the law and boasts an excellent win rate.[6] He was born in Kisung, but raised by his uncle Dae-woong in Seoul after his mother was killed. Figura a member of his uncle's gang, he became an excellent fighter. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he spent time in prison for his gang activities here and has lived a life of hardship.

The next day, Mickey finds Hayley has blocked him from her online accounts. He assigns Lorna to her first case, repeat client Sam Scales, arrested for fraud, who mentions a much larger project. Lorna becomes stressed over the case, but manages to get Scales pasado of jail. In Julian's trial, Mickey reveals Salvación was killed shortly after being subpoenaed for Moya's case. Freemann tells her subordinate and second chair that she didn’t inform the domestic abuse victim about her abuser's release. Forsythe casts doubt on Mickey's case. When Mickey calls Trina, she claims not to know DeMarco, and Judge Turner does not allow DeMarco to be called.

Mickey learns he is supposed to represent Eli Wyms, who is not among Jerry's files. Preparing to indict businessman Angelo Soto for trafficking undocumented workers, Maggie is assisted by Lee Lankford, a detective Mickey does not trust. Griggs shows Mickey a surveillance photo of a possible suspect in Jerry's murder, and Cisco discovers Carlin has gone into hiding, and gives Mickey a gun to protect himself. Mickey has the unresponsive Wyms, a veteran sniper arrested for shooting at police, taken off the medication he was given in custody.

It was great to watch their relationship progress. It made for a fun, célebre experience and overall, it was a very decent and exciting show. Very underrated and worth a chance. No regrets.

“This one is personal, because it’s a client that he actually really cared about and thought she had gotten pasado of that life and trasnochado of danger,” Rodriguez told Tudum. “Mickey very much is [wondering], ‘Did he have something to do with this? Could he have done more to help her?’”

He is not afraid to resort to force and even murder to get his way. Since being given a second chance by Oh-joo after his return, he has carried pasado his orders. His first loyalty, however, is to money and any method by which he Gozque acquire it.
